The Marketing Education Program is designed to prepare students for post secondary education in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. The Marketing Pathways are sets of three classes each that focus students on specific areas of the marketing field. All marketing students are required to take Marketing Principles as a prerequisite to the second course in each pathway. Students develop knowledge and skills in the foundational areas of marketing (economics, human relations and business basics) and the functional areas of marketing (product and service planning, marketing-information management, pricing, selling, promotion, market planning, and channel management), as well as in international marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. The Marketing program at SFHS is Industry Certified by the Sales and Marketing Executives as well as the American Marketing Association (AMA).
At the conclusion of each pathway, there is an option to take a 4th year hybrid class called "Marketing Research." The class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, then is online on Mondays and Fridays. In the class, students will learn techniques for conducting marketing research in the fields of Sports and Entertainment, Hospitality and Tourism, Finance, Buying and Merchandising, and Business Services.
